Mark Bates is a clinical psychologist who focuses on whole person healing and believes that psychedelic therapy helps people heal core wounds and access their higher selves in unique ways. Mark has extensive experience in psychological health promotion, leading that mission for the military’s Psychological Health Center of Excellence for over nine years. He has an ongoing passion for supporting and working with veterans and their family members and is interested in how people in dyads and groups can support each other in healing together. Mark’s education includes completing the military's medical school clinical psychology doctoral training and the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has also received training in multiple psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies and participated in ethnobotany studies in Ecuador and Brazil. He enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, other family and friends, and being part of two men's groups.
