Allison Coker, PhD is a Research and Regulatory Analyst at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Program Manager for the FDA funded Community Uses of Psychedelics and Safety Study. Dr. Coker provides scientific guidance, strategic expertise, and operational support for the development and optimization of research and regulatory strategy for psychedelic research programs for the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and the Lundquist Institute.

Dr. Coker earned a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University and a doctorate in Neuroscience from UCSF with multidisciplinary training studying motivation, substance use disorders, and stress in preclinical and clinical research. She previously served as Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs at MAPS Public Benefit Corporation guiding the regulatory strategy for MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD and as Program Manager for the Institute for Translational Neuroscience developing novel treatment strategies for PTSD and substance use disorders.
