Graham Pechenik is a registered patent attorney and the founder of Calyx Law, a boutique firm specializing in cannabis and psychedelics related intellectual property. Graham has a BS from UC San Diego, where he chose his Cognitive Neuroscience and Biochemistry majors after his first psychedelic experiences inspired deep curiosity about the bases for changes in consciousness, and a JD from NYU, where he initially pursued interests in bioethics and cognitive liberty. After a decade at large law firms defending and challenging patents for Fortune 500 companies across the agricultural, chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, and technology industries, including working on several landmark patent cases at trial and on appeal, Graham started Calyx Law to work with cannabis and psychedelics ventures. Graham is also editor-at-large of Psychedelic Alpha, a board member of the Psychedelic Bar Association, and a member of Chacruna’s Council for the Protection of Sacred Plants.

Introduction to Psychedelic Law Practice and Policy for Attorneys
This workshop will provide the fundamentals for attorneys who are seeking to support clients and policy initiatives relevant to the responsible use of psychedelics.
The workshop will cover the primary present and likely federal pathways to legal access to psychedelics, including scientific, medical, religious uses, as well as unique statewide systems, and the practical implications of local decriminalization measures.
The Psychedelic Bar Association is an association of accomplished attorneys from all practice areas and perspectives dedicated to solving the novel legal and policy issues impacting the emerging psychedelics sector.
We envision a world where psychedelic organizations, businesses, healers, and leaders have access to a network of lawyers operating from the highest standards of excellence and ethical considerations.
We see the Psychedelic Bar Association contributing to the creation of a world where safe, legal access to psychedelics brings healing, equity and justice for all.
