Rebecca Martinez is a Chicana parent, writer, founder and community organizer living on Chinook homelands known as Portland, Oregon. Her work explores the intersections between collective healing, systems design, and expanded states of consciousness. She is the founder and Executive Director of Alma Institute, a 501(c)3 psychedelic facilitator training program focused on equity and access. She is the author of “Whole Medicine: a Guide to Ethics and Harm Reduction for Psychedelic Therapy and Plant Medicine Communities”, released by North Atlantic Books in January of 2024. She was a staff member on the Measure 109 Psilocybin Services Act and has held advisory roles with the National Psychedelics Association, the Oregon Health Authority Psilocybin Advisory Board Equity Subcommittee, the Plant Medicine Healing Alliance, Sacred Garden Community, and more. Her work has been featured in Business Insider, NPR, STAT news, Lucid News, Psychedelics Today, and two forthcoming documentaries.
